About Me

minniephysio.jpg

I obtained my Master of Physical Therapy degree in 2013 at Western University after graduating with an Honours Bachelor of Medical Science degree in 2011. Through my education, work, volunteer, research, and clinical experiences, I have had the pleasure of working with a variety of different populations in a wide array of settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, private practice, and community home care.

I believe in one-on-one physiotherapy care, where I can establish a close rapport with my clients and develop a long lasting and trusting relationship with them. I enjoy spending time and working with my clients to understand their problems and to determine the most personalized treatment plan in order for them to return to their pain-free, healthy, and active lifestyles. I'm also certified in concussion management and baseline testing. I try to make physiotherapy fun by combining various approaches such that sessions are goal oriented and not repetitive every single time. I like to incorporate and combine different assessment and treatment techniques in my practice to optimize patient care and outcome. This may include manual therapy, such as soft tissue release and nerve and joint mobilizations, acupuncture and dry needling, cupping and cupping massage, electrotherapeutic modalities, exercise prescription, and comprehensive education. I'm also a big advocate of fixing imbalances in the body in order to prevent dysfunctional movement patterns. Whatever I do, I will ensure that you find a solution to enhance your quality of life and achieve your personal goals. I am fluent in both English and Cantonese.

In my spare time, I like to cheer on the Leafs and Jays. I also have a guilty pleasure for food (hence the food section of this site) and can be found out and about discovering new restaurants and cuisines. Not to be outdone, I try to sharpen my culinary skills at home as well by cooking or baking new things once in awhile. I love traveling, exploring new countries, sightseeing, and photography. Feel free to check out my gallery to see what I've been up to!
